Carefully curated by myself while drunk on nostalgia and sleep deprivation, "Naughty By Nurture" is a collection of some of my favorite tracks from the last 10 years, most of which never found suitable homes elsewhere. These are rough around the edges, but if you open them up and poke around, you'll find they are also rough in the middle. Some are missing bass lines, while others were never properly mixed. Many go on a bit too long and don't seem to lead anywhere, much like my life. All of them represent an approach to making music that I will probably never return to. Mostly I need to make space on my laptop, and it didn't feel right to hide all this history on an external drive and stuff it in a drawer somewhere. This music is what I spent much of my time doing in my 20s, and these days that seems to be more than enough reason to put it on the internet. It is not so much a "best of," but it is definitely an "of." I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing this blurb, which is to say moderately and with some embarrassment.

Tracks labeled "LIVE" were recorded in one take with an Octatrack sampler/sequencer and modular synthesizer.
